Conductivity meters are used to measure the electrical conductivity of liquids to find how well they conduct electricity. There are those with waterproof specifications suitable for use outdoors and around water. They can be benchtop types and stationary types as well as handheld types and pen types that are convenient for carrying around. The measurable range differs by product, so products that fit the application are used. Also, caution is necessary as continuous use in strong acid or alkaline and measuring hot liquids may affect electrode lifespan.
